It worked! Tardebigge Services is to get a 'deep clean'

Credit where credit is due,   BW have responded positively to my criticism about the state of Tardebigge Service area.

Dear Lesley
I have asked for a deep clean to be done on the area, as well as sending your  email to the mooring officer who will contact the owners of crafts who have a mooring at the site regarding the issue of dog fouling.

Kind regards

Deborah Craggs
Operations Administrator

And my response...

Deborah I am impressed, thank you for taking positive action.
regards
Lesley K

  2. Excellent. We usually find that if we contact BW direct they do something pretty quickly. Well done.

    1. Hi Jo
Yes I was pleased that BW have responded in a positive fashion. It takes little effort to rattle off an e-mail, more of us should do it to keep standards up perhaps..

  3. Well done.

And I particularly liked your second letter: not allowing them to weasel out thru standard bureaucratese.

    1. Thank you Bob. In tend to see a bit of red-mist when they trip out the standard formatted response, so tiresome. At least BW have responded very positively to my second poke at them.

  4. A result!
On a different topic Lesley, if you and Joe have used your shower yet, what do you think of the venturi shower head? Does it do what it purports to? Best wishes, Bob & Dot, Nb Bimble.

    1. Hi Bob
      Indeed, a result!
Now the venturi showerhead. We failed to get an even flow out of the showerhead. It seemed to require a constant and strong water pressure to operate properly and the hole for water flow into the showerhead was so narrow that it kept switching our water pump off. That is not to say we wouldn't try a venturi again but the particular one we bought didn't operate with our current configuration.
      See you about, take care

  5. I knew they'd crumble under the onslaught of your indomitable spirit!

Now why wasn't your name on my CRT voting paper? :-)

    1. Hi Sue
More 'an awkward old biddy' (polite version) than indomitable spirit perhaps but it gets results..
As for CRT, if I was land based, or even just 'based' I might consider the role but there are others far better qualified than I to represent us boaters...fortunately.
