Yesterday the river levels dropped by about a foot and a couple of boats moved through from Cambridge. According to Cam-Con ( R. Cam Conservators) the river was still on Strong Stream Advice (SSA) and at risk of flooding so we stayed put, especially as it pee'd down all day.
'Stayed Put' as in not moved the boats that is; we did however, drag ourselves and the canines out for a two hour tramp in the rain, wading to the floodbank from the boats - I think Muttley and Baxter being somewhat shorter of limb, might have swam to the bank...
Beginning to feel an afinity to pond life..
