At 1.30am, having woken me up, Floyd intimated that he would like to go out; I got up and obliged him.
At 2.30am he requested a repeat performance; I obliged yet again
Fletcher meanwhile had taken himself off to the galley......and then returned.
Still awake I gave up the struggle and got up at 4.30am to find a present left for me to clear up in the galley..
That would be Fletcher's contribution to the night time entertainment then.
Outside the sun was rising so I took a couple of shots and as I write this the sun has risen and the rain has just started again.
And in case you were worried, the dogs have had their breakfast and gone back to bed!

ReplyDeleteWe have become so used to be woken up in the middle of the night by sick hounds (Lou not very well after radiotherapy) that I now automatically wake up at 3.30am even when the dogs are fine!

ReplyDeleteWaterlevels are still high if you take note of the lock landing which was still under water at lunchtime today; it is raining steadily again. The lock has been unlocked and two boats went through this morning but SSA still applies according to the Cam Con flood line...
I didn't want to be awake at that ungodly hour but the bones that the dogs had eaten the evening before were making their presence felt!

The sky at 1.30 and 2.30 was very photogenic as well but Himself might have been less than pleased if I had clambered over his slumbering form to retrieve my camera...strange that.

We can pick you up when we come back in the Autumn and you can come cruising with us for a few weeks. At the pace we travel you will barely leave Gayton though!

ReplyDeleteThose photos are fantastic. The colour of the sky at that time of the morning is amazing and the reflection off the water really makes it. If only I could haul myself out of bed at that time more often. I can think of someone who wouldn't be too impressed if I did though!!
