Everywhere and nowhere baby

Just listening to Johnnie Walker on Radio BBC2 while we wait for the F1 Grand Prix and caught Adam (Nb. Briar Rose) reading the News...had to cut you short Adam just in case you gave the F1 result....
Jeff Beck's Hi Ho Silver Lining was playing....memory lane on a Club (Disco in my day) dance floor...

  3. We were waiting at the Tunnel Sous La Manché terminal at Calais. You can get Radio 2. Didn't realise it was the same Adam. Villa put to bed. Fallen in love with France yet again. Winter mooring sounds as if it is going to be fun!!

    1. Hi Le Stalkers
I am sure the French will approve of your sentiment! We are moored next to a couple that go to Spain every winter so have booked an appointment to pick their brains but for now Market Harborough will do very nicely.
      See you both soon

  6. On the occasions I did the result, I made sure there was a long build up to actually saying who won, so fans would have a chance to cover their ears!

    1. In which case we won't switch you off Adam should you and Fi coincide again.

  7. I am afraid last time we saw Adam, that we gave him a bit of an ear bashing about the BBC giving the game away without warning. Unfortunately he doesn't control all the other newsreaders. We don't usually listen to Radio 2 (tuner welded to Radio 4!) but must tune in to hear Adam.

    1. Kath we are Radio 4 devotees as well but we knew Adam was on so....
We have only been caught out with the F1 results once before and it totally ruins watching the spectacle when you know the result.

  8. Those were the days - dancing to that in a rust coloured jump suit (a onesey in today's lingo), 1968?
I really fancied myself in that outfit.
A bugger when you needed a pee though!

    1. Jill you are right about the date but my memories are 1973 on the Isle of Wight every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night! Such a great disco favourite.
1968? Shouldn't you have been in 'hot pants'???
