Derek and Joe in post dinner form
Come the mooring it was time to move off again but we delayed our departure to allow the thick mist to clear a bit.
The boys decided out of the blue to share a bed, not something that Fletcher will normally tolerate; perhaps there was food in the offing that distracted him from evicting Floyd...
Big Nose... Yarwood's bow extends beyond the pontoon
Waiting for Joe to move out...Mr Big, Fletcher
And here he comes
The North Oxford Canal cuts through All Oaks Wood
Yarwood emerging out of the mist
C&RT repairing/relaying the surface over the Brinklow Arm (redundant) bridge
My first sighting this year of ducklings...there was a brood of eleven!
M6 Motorway bridge over the N. Oxford canal and by now the mist had been burnt off
Yarwood approaching Sutton Stop
As we came out of The Greyhound I recognised the rear end of this boat going through the stop lock, butty Echoes. And in front was motorboat Comfortably Numb , fellow bloggers.
And there they go, cross strapped, down the Oxford Canal having just come up from Coventry
And here my 'menfolk' go, back to their boat...
I have never, ever, seen Floyd & Fletcher share a bed before.
ReplyDeleteOh well, saves space - you can chuck one bed out now!
Jill
And will probably not see the like again so Floyd's bed stays or he will be on one of our laps all the time instead of some of the time...

Perhaps you would be kind enough to let Derek and Sheila know about the set of three cruising maps from Waterway Routes which cover the Fenland Waterways - Nene, Middle Levels, and River Great Ouse & Tributaries. They are the most up to date maps available for these waterways and available for instant download at www.waterwayroutes.co.uk. Thanks. (and feel free to delete this comment as blatant advertising)!
ReplyDeleteHappy to oblige and publish comment Paul!
