Under Starters orders...and they're off!

Preparing to leave....

We said warm and heart felt farewells this morning to our fellow winter moorers, and our hosts Patrick and Caroline at Union Basin Market Harborough, as we prepared to take our leave and start cruising again.  Our stay at Market Harborough has been our first experience of ' winter mooring' and it has given us the opportunity to spend a bit more time with family and friends than our normal lifestyle permits.  Our winter companions have been first rate and our stay really pleasant but Oh how lovely to be back out cruising again...
The sun came out and burnt of the early morning fog and with lines re attached and fenders and mooring pins located we set off down the Market Harborough Arm towards Foxton.

 Farewell Union Basin

  1. Stuck on our WM on the K&A with flow double what it was last year and no possibility if moving. How you are envied! Happy cruising.

  2. Yes we had a basin full of that on the Great Ouse last year so we know how you feel. Enjoy your cruising when the water levels drop; it cannot be long now surely?
