Fletcher latest

Pinned to the palace railings - Fletcher latest, read all about it.

Fletcher went to see the Vet in Stone this afternoon to check on his progress/recovery after his adder wrestling encounter  over the past weekend.  After a quick examination and the inevitable taking of his temperature - his expression at this gross indignity says it all - the Vet wants to see him again on Friday as she is not happy to sign him off at present.   His mouth, throat, chest and abdomen are covered in petechial haemorrhages that need to be monitored so we have been asked to photograph his mouth today and again tomorrow and bring the images to the Vet on Friday.  He is improving, there appears to be less pain today than yesterday but it seems he is not out of the woods just yet.

  2. Sorry Fletcher isn't right yet, give him a big cuddle from us. We should have waited in Stone to see you as it turns out!
Never mind, we'll see you on the Caldon, no doubt.

    1. Thank you Del and Al, we echo your thoughts. We just have to hope that he doesn't get any tissue die back as a consequence of the venom hence the Vet wanting check him again.

    1. Pip, you will see from the latest update that Fletcher is, or appears to be, making an excellent recovery. Hopefully tomorrow morning he will be given the al-clear and we can get going knowing he is fine.
      Hugs passed on..

  5. Hi both sorry to hear about poor Fletch, how terrible for him and a worry for you, sending our love Chrissie And Richard and a special message from Rio " Hi Fletch mate, not saying I ever really though much of you and the other blackone, but you know we are all dogs when it comes down to it, and nobody would wish a snake bite and then worse, the old fermomeetar up the ass on any dog so I am thinking of you and will be a bit more careful with the wildlife out there, I got stung myself by a wasp last year, but fortunatley I didn't require the services of the vet which saved mum and dad loads of dosh, Well hope you're feeling much better soon, and that those things that your mum wrote about clear up very soon, I do quite like you now your not around both of you, bye for now Rio Adams the dog"

Thanks for the kind thoughts mate, femometers are a bugger aren't they? I am getting better day by day with another visit to the local Vet again tomorrow. The meds are being cunningly disguised in an extremely expensive Pate these days so no complaints mate.. we are off to the caldon on Saturday, it was going to be tomorrow but my folks are out on the piss with another load of boaters - are they all alkies do yer think? Anyway, where are you are the moment and what are your humans planning for the summer?
