Into Saxilby

Eight sharp yesterday morning and Nb.What a Lark and Nb. Yarwood untied and headed off towards Saxilby and a reunion with the rest of the Wash Convoy.  We are now in fenland countryside, flat fertile land with BIG skies and drainage dykes and embankments.

Nb. What a Lark following us away from the Torksey visitor moorings

 Fossdyke, nice and wide

 Approaching Saxilby

Under the railway bridge on the Lincoln to Doncaster line

An hour and five minutes after setting off we were moored up on the Saxilby visitor moorings with Clarence and Seyella

We will stay here until Friday morning after which we will pull pins and head into Lincoln where Geoff has arranged moorings at Brayford Pool for the weekend.
