Grumpy Old Woman
Anyway today dawned, the sun came out, then went in again.
We moved Yarwood up closer to Isis Lock, threading our way past the moored boats by Oxford Cruisers and once tied up again I walked along to Oxford Rail Station to meet two very special guests for a cruise along the Thames. Andy and Sarah (aka Greygirl) were joining us for a cruise to Abingdon and back; though in fact 'the back' bit didn't happen because of weather, time, extended lunching and general malaise.
They got the bus back to Oxford abandoning us and Yarwood in Abingdon.
Andy and Sarah at the helm
We tied Sarah to the tiller and left her there for the whole trip, our captive steerer for the day
Approaching Sandford lock
Waiting our turn to go into Abingdon lock and a chance to let the dogs off of the boat
It always happens, you point a camera at Joe and he becomes a naughty school boy again...
He is meant to be securing the front line
I left them to the locking and walked the dogs along the meadow below the lock looking for a suitable mooring which soon presented itself.
Yarwood, snug as a bug on the Thames
